The most viable candidates of that era—backed by empirical evidence of the world’s oldest subsistence seafaring by the Izu maritime Sojin in the Japanese Archipelago, with no evidence to the contrary—are theoretically the descendant Aomori and Hokkaido Sojin in the north as “First” Americans. It is time to establish this as the new paradigm.
